INTERNAL LANDSCAPES
1956-1958, 2015
This series includes a collection of images from Israeli calendars dating from the late 1950s. The images, intended to present the newborn state in its first years after establishment, aim to present a Zionist ethos of glory, in meticulous details. Inside the calendars are scribbles that present the domestic occupations of their owners everyday life. These are woven into the images in an inseparable fabric.
The work was exhibited in “Harama” online Art Magazine, 2015.

סידרה זו כוללת אוסף של דימויים מתוך יומני שנה משלהי שנות ה-50. הדימויים, שנועדו להציג את הארץ החדשה בשנים הראשונות לאחר קום המדינה, מטרתם להציג אתוס ציוני לתפארת, בצילומים מוקפדים ומוחזקים. בתוכם שרבטה בעלת היומן טקסט שמציג את הדומסטיקה של היום-יום, חשבונות ומשימות והרהורים, ואלו שזורים בתוך הדימוי במארג שלא ניתן להפרידו. דרך הדימויים הללו עולה השאלה מהו שאנו משאירים אחרינו ומה ניתן לזקק מתוך מה שהיו פעם חיים שלמים.
העבודה הוצגה במגזין האמנות המקוון "הרמה", 2015.

I photograph locations on the borders of suburbia, where a systematic obliteration has already begun, just moments before new buildings are erected.
The series was exhibited as part of the project "Frames of Reality" - a project bringing together Israeli and Palestinian photojournalists and documentary photographers, 2010
